The COVID-19 Pandemic ended many facets of normal life, one of those being the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for The Fruitland Elementary Schools. Without a PTA, the FES teachers have nobody to support them. Susan Warthen Realtor of the #KindSBY Adopt a School Program saw the hole the absence of a PTA left and decided to fill it. During Teacher Appreciation Week, she partnered with Bryan Baker Loan Officer and Evan Warthen at Golden Sails Videography to make a difference.
The week started out with a community motorcade at both schools in hopes of honoring our teachers and the thoughtful dedication they provide to our young minds every single day of the year! Although few showed up Monday afternoon for the motorcade, the task at hand was not over until the teachers were smothered in love!
Bryan Baker and Susan Warthen partnered with Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mikes, Red Door Sub Shop and Deli at Pecan Square to provide the teachers with a lunch-in. At the lunch-in the walls were decorated with messages of support from local businesses and families, that Susan had worked tirelessly to gather from the Fruitland community.
Meanwhile Evan and Susan Warthen dashed around town gathering videos messages from local businesses.
Teacher Appreciation Week 2022 was a HUGE SUCCESS! THANK YOU, to everyone that helped in making this possible!
